A digital repository of navigational learning histories on the Web

The main topic addressed in this paper is facilitating telecommunications by sharing self-directed learning histories via a digital repository. The given self-directed navigation with knowledge construction is called navigational learning. The main purpose of the repository is to allow learners to reuse other learners´/teachers´ navigation histories to gain the unknown awareness. It also allows them to compare their navigation histories to others to know the incompleteness of knowledge they have constructed. An interactive history system is developed that encourages learners to annotate their navigation history including a sequence of the navigated Web pages with the knowledge construction process. Such digital repository with the facilities can facilitate self-directed navigational learning on the Web.
