  • Abstract
The characteristics of a full-wave dipole antenna supported by a metal bar with a reflector plate, which is a well-known wideband antenna, is presented. The numerical characteristics of four bays of the antenna were calculated using the moment method by an analysis in which the current continuity at the conductor wire junctions was taken into consideration and the appropriate wideband structure was analyzed. The method should prove useful for antennas of other forms with the end face effect considered. In view of these results, it is found that the moment method presented is useful for the analysis of finite cylindrical antennas, especially an electrically thick antenna.<>
