Abstract
Consideration is given to the mixed-norm H 2/ H ∞ discrete-time problem. Specifically, an H 2 discrete-time control design problem involving a constraint on H ∞ disturbance attenuation is addressed. The principal result involves sufficient conditions for characterizing decentralized discrete-time static output feedback controllers that satisfy bounds on both H 2 and H ∞ performance costs. These results are in the vein of the recent Riccati equation approach to continuous-time H 2/H ∞ theory
