Abstract :
The principle and configuration of a real-time expert system for operation guidance of vinyl chloride monomer (VCM) rectification process is presented in this paper. Some examples are given to show its application. A special knowledge base which is based on the expert´s experience, technological requirements and mechanism of rectifying column (RC) is created in fuzzy control theory and coded in the form of production rules. The system collects real time process data of RC and inferences in fuzzy inference with facts and rules which knowledge base contains
