Abstract
Studies of preparation of Fe3O4-delta by CO reduction and reducing SO2 into S under different temperatures were carried out. The sample was prepared with wet method ball-milling method for 500 h using water as the solvent. The materials were characterized by SEM and XRD. By detecting the change of the systematic pressure, the reduction reaction of SO2 to S0 was studied with the prepared Fe3O4-delta. The result showed that the reduction of SO2 obeyed the rule of single peak value to the temperature. Under the conditions of CO flow rate of 40 ml/min, reduction time of 6 hours and reaction temperature of 673 K, the prepared Fe3O4-delta showed the highest efficiency in reducing SO2. One gram of magnetite sample can reduce about 1.414 times 10-3 mol SO2.
