  • Abstract
Tlie radio channels in WCDMA systems are usually multipath fading channels, which cause inter symbol interference (ISI) in the received signals. In order to eliminate ISL, the paper presents an equalizer that can be used in WCDMA systems. The equalizer uses the knowledge on the channel impulse response (CIR), which can be provided by a separate channel estimator. The channel estimator adopts the iterative channel estimation, and it is able to estimate CIR for each burst separately by exploiting the known transmitted bits and the corresponding received samples. The equalizer is demonstrated by computer simulations that the error between the input and the output can be converged when the iterative time increases.
