  • Abstract
    Networked manufacturing is a trend of manufacturing industry. Virtual enterprise (VE) is one of main forms of networked manufacturing. Process modeling of VE is a vital area for managing and controlling. By analysis of VE process modeling, whose design principle is proposed and a modeling system based on improved UML activity diagram method is formed. It is of dynamic characteristic, distribution, and easy use. The running method and the attribute of basic elements of the system are discussed in detail, and an example of modeling is put forward
