Abstract :
The operation of an adjustable speed drive system, consisting of an induction machine fed by a matrix converter using also a low-pass input filter, is examined and evaluated under abnormal source voltage and mechanical load conditions. Furthermore, the influence of the input filter and the switching frequency of the MC are investigated. The study of the examined drive system´s performance under these operating conditions is very significant for practical cases.
