Abstract :
This paper presents the development of a power unit simplified dynamic model oriented on load-frequency control and analysis of power unit dynamics using this model. The control model identified with one relatively simple experiment is calculated by a two stage identification procedure. This model can be used for analysis of load-frequency control system, for AGC control purposes as well as for building and setting up a real-time simulator for dispatcher training. Analysis of a 140 MW unit load-frequency control system at Haifa power station (Israel) is fulfilled by implementation of this approach allowing analysis and improvement of the unit dynamic response.
