Abstract :
To avoid misalignment in continuous annealing oven, it is essential to minimize the asymmetric flatness deviation of a cold-rolled strip. Firstly an index was defined to evaluate the asymmetric extent of strip flatness, and it is considered as a goal of the control system. Secondly the existed algorithm to adjust backup-roll tilting was optimized, based on weighted least-square method. By simulation analysis, the improved algorithm is efficient in reducing asymmetric degree of a cold-rolled strip.
