  • Abstract
Ionic liquids are receiving considerable attention because of their remarkable properties, such as extremely low vapor pressure. 1-Butyl-3-methylimidazolim tetrafluoroborate is one of the most commonly used ionic liquid. But it is toxic to aquatic organisms and is difficult to biodegradable. In this paper, some of the possible factors, which have effects on removal efficiency of 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolim tetrafluoroborate are studied symmetrically through electrolysis treatment. The experiments results indicated that the factors arranged in important order are as follows: reaction time, voltage, pH. And the removal efficiency of 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolim tetrafluoroborate can reach 20.42% under suitable conditions and the decomposing reaction accords with the zero order kinetics.
