Abstract
Recent advances in wireless communications are reflected on the evolution of wireless networks towards the direction of reconfigurability. End-to-end reconfigurable systems have the ability to dynamically adapt to environment requisitions through changes (reconfigurations) in their infrastructure and/or operating parameters. Research work on reconfigurable systems needs to be validated, in order to test their efficiency. The purpose of this paper is to present an approach on how this can be realized. To do so, an overall validation approach for reconfigurable systems is proposed, while indicative results from validation-targeted work for both, the reconfigurable network and the reconfigurable terminal, are included.
