Abstract :
To accomplish rapid response design and improve the efficiency and quality of modular product design, a module innovation methodology based on patent knowledge was presented. According to modular product platform, the modular innovation process model was established. PKM-TRIZ knowledgebase combined with existing patent knowledge management system and TRIZ was built based on Function-Effect-Structure (F-E-S) mapping and the hierarchy of knowledge space. The requirements of customers and the direction of technological evolution were analyzed by TRIZ contradiction analysis, by which the innovation breakthrough points were obtained. Through the study of the modules´ function structure and performance characteristics changes, the modular innovation process was built and supported by PKM-TRIZ knowledgebase. Finally, the computer aided innovation design system was developed using automobile drive axle as a case.
