Abstract
SAR (synthetic aperture radar) image matching is important to SAR applications. For speckle consisted in SAR images, good matching result can´t be obtained with traditional methods. In this paper, a new method of SAR image matching is proposed with the combination of features of SAR image and fractal theory. Firstly, the SAR images were divided into many small regions and the fractal features of each region were calculated. Based on the fractal features, image matching is performed. The experiment results show that this method is efficient in SAR image matching.
