Abstract :
In the modern MMW radar detection system, the problem on interference of cross-terms became extremely severe. In the paper, we proposed a new method named p0 order Choi-Williams-distribution (p0-CWD) transform based on the fractional Fourier transform (FRFT). The analysis of auto-terms and cross-terms of p0-CWD shows the result that the interference of cross-terms could be zero under certain condition. The algorithm avoids time-consuming coherent processing and sophisticated motion compensation due to the implementation of FRFT. The performance of the method is evaluated in terms of signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of output signal. The simulation results revealed 0.5 m resolution even in the case of low SNR of input signal equal to -9 dB.
