Abstract :
Moore’s Law scaling of semiconductor devices has provided a metronome for semiconductor progress for the past 45 years. While developing semiconductor products on the Moore’s Law curve makes economic and technical sense for advanced processors and high-volume SOCs/ICs, increasingly, many products can be created which achieve performance and business goals off the Moore’s Law curve. This panel will explore the various dimensions of building products (and the underlying technology) on and off the Moore’s Law curve, and the panelists will share their perspective on how the semiconductor business will potentially evolve in taking advantage of design and process/device technologies on these several dimensions, to optimize the business and economic value of new products.
