Abstract
This paper presents a beam search based FMS scheduling, where the evaluation function is dynamically selected throughout the scheduling period by utilizing a fuzzy inference based procedure. The tackled production system is characterized by: multiproduct, jobs demanding multiple operations within the FMS, flexible routing with different process times in alternative machines and dynamic scheduling. A simple fuzzy inference rule base is derived from past simulation studies. The obtained results are very promising
