Abstract
An efficient dynamic resource calculation algorithm applicable to MF-TDMA satellite networks is presented in this paper. The dynamic variation of the satellite link state is taken into account using an accurate spatial-temporal channel attenuation model, and a robust algorithm is derived controlling the actions taken by the satellite terminals. The time instants for timeslot reallocation as well as the corresponding minimum number of timeslots required to guarantee the QoS specifications are determined. For this purpose a multiple subset sum algorithm with small computational cost is employed at the Hub station. Finally, the algorithms performance is investigated via extended numerical results and some useful conclusions are drawn.
