Abstract :
Gas laser pumping methods with an application of radio-frequency (RF) or combined discharges are very popular in a modern laser engineering today. There are several successful constructions of gas lasers, where the active medium was created by either transverse RF capacitive or combined discharge. However in order to estimate the perspective of an application of such pumping methods we should compare them with gas laser active medium in a steady-state (DC) glow discharge. The purpose of the present work is a study of the conditions, when we can use the above mentioned gas laser pumping methods
