Abstract :
An important requirement of any mine detection radar is the ability to discriminate mines from other targets. By considering the polarization invariant properties of targets this can be achieved. In this paper the general theory of extracting these parameters from a stepped frequency continuous wave radar are derived. Real measurements of various targets are also presented
