Abstract :
Unique microsystems have emerged from the union of advanced CMOS circuits, sensors, and MEMS technologies. Key circuits includes front-end sensor signal processing and data acquisition, back-end electrical stimulation for biological tissue, and wireless communication between the implantable medical device and an external host transceiver, potentially using MEMS-based frequency references and electromechanical filters.
