Abstract
In this paper we propose 32 new experimental phase functions measured in situ during several oceanographic expeditions in various regions of the Mediterranean Sea. As in the case with the Petzold (1972) phase functions, these measurements include a complete set of inherent optical properties for the wavelength of 520 nm. In 30 cases the beam attenuation coefficient was also measured. The backscattering coefficient, probability of backscattering, and Gordon´s parameter are calculated. The complete results are presented in the form of tables for 33 scattering angles in the range of 2 and 162.5 degrees.
