Abstract :
This paper addresses the problems about biometric-based data security and digital rights protection. Based on the idea of biometric encryption, we propose a modified biometric authentication method including an aligning process instead of simple average, which shows a better performance both in effectiveness and in convenience. With the modified method, we design and implement a new framework of digital rights protection by combining biometric encryption with bio-template matching. Detailed authentication procedures and security analysis are given.
