Abstract :
The VME bus is a widely used industrial bus, which is applied in military, industrial, aerospace, communication and control applications. This paper describes the general characteristics of the VME bus, presents a VME bus control system for back-to-back neutral point clamped converter. Focus is on the VME interface board consists of DSP and FPGA. The design of the interface is discussed in detail. The experimental results demonstrate its effectiveness.
