Abstract :
Measuring the electric field due to wireless communication systems is an important part for determining the electromagnetic pollution of the environment and consequently human exposure to these fields. Many difficulties need to be considered when performing these tests. An automated electric field measurement system is presented in this paper, associated with a statistical analysis of the results obtained from a survey in the GSM 900, GSM 1800 and 3G downlink frequency bandwidths for different time frames. Instantaneous measurements were taken at 1 second intervals and the minimum, maximum, average, standard deviation and the cumulative density were calculated.
