Abstract :
A small-aperture long-focus OR is proposed by the authors as a positive feedback circuit in the new modification of the millimeter DRO. It has been shown that the TEM00q, TEM20q and TEM 02q modes can be used as the working modes in this oscillator. The output power of small-size DRO increases in comparison with the basic DRO. The starting currents and the steepness of the mechanical and electronic frequency changes are the same as in the basic DRO. The practical application of the compact DRO with the small long-focus reflectors tends to increase the functional capabilities of the microwave oscillators and new prospects are opened up for the development of multicascade systems in the field of microwave diffraction electronics
