Abstract :
Ambient network project proposes a new network control architecture that enables converging and scalable networking with increased support of advanced communications services. When designing this new control system, special care has to be given to the migration requirements to ensure viable introduction and development of AN concepts. This paper presents the approach pursued within the ambient networks project with regard to migration. It introduces the migration guidelines and scenarios derived in the project and illustrate the migration results through a selected set of cases.
