Abstract :
Take certain concrete-filled steel tube leaning-type arch bridge as an example, a three dimension finite element model with beam element is established in this paper. The influence of variation of space between inclined arch rib and main arch rib and cable of inclined arch rib on seismic internal force of the bridge is studied. A series of results can be obtained from this study: (1) The lateral seismic performance of the bridge could improve with cable of inclined arch rib, however, the longitudinal seismic performance reduces. (2) Under transverse seismic excitation, with the increase of spacing between inclined arch rib and main arch rib, the trend of axial force of main arch rib and inclined arch rib is contrary. The Axial force of main arch rib increases and that of inclined arch rib decreases gradually. (3) Less effect of such variations on axial force of main arch rib and inclined arch rib is found when the bridge is under longitudinal seismic excitation, which may be used as a reference to engineering practice.
