Abstract :
In consideration of the fact that the former curves do not rely on that the damaged major cause of arch dams is the short of the concrete tensile strength but is related to the dam height and the concrete compressive strength, a new curve is brought forward in this paper, in consideration of factors of the concrete tensile strength, the dam height and the width of canyon. And the distributing chat of the slenderness coefficient of arch dams is presented.
