Abstract :
The distributed parameter processes are processes where the mass and the energy are distributed within a spatial area. These processes are described by means of partial differential equations. To solve the control problem of the distributed parameter processes, the associated transfer function is often used. In this paper, several methods for the determination of the transfer function of the distributed parameter systems are presented. Within the work the author made a comparison between the analytical methods and the finite elements-based methods. The theoretical developments are implemented by means of an example related to the electromagnetic field penetration into a slab process.
