Abstract :
In order to develop multifunctional visual mechanical CAD software with design calculation,database management and automatic drafting, it was studied that multiplatform development technology includes Visual Basic 6.0, Visual FoxPro 6.0, Visual LISP and AutoCAD. The technology mainly includes interface programming, directory structure design, and reasonable use of platforms.The multifunctional visual cylindrical gear drive CAD software which uses the technology mentioned above, has greatly improved the efficiency and quality of gear drive design in practical application.
