Abstract :
Based on the seismic behavior experimental research of 3 frame columns which using C80 high strength concrete and HRB400 high strength stirrup and longitudinal bar under low frequency cyclic loading, the failure shapes, hysteretic character and energy performance of components were analyzed in this paper, the axial compression ratio and stirrup ratio about the seismic behavior of high strength concrete short columns are also discussed. The results show that: HRB400 high strength stirrups are effective to improve the seismic capacity of high strength concrete short columns. On the same conditions of the longitudinal reinforcement bars ratio, the shear span ratio and type of stirrups, using high strength stirrup can effectively improve the ductility indexes, energy performance and seismic behavior of high strength concrete short columns under high axial compression ratio.
