Abstract :
A transient model for simulating the dynamic performance of a HF base cycloconverter system, i.e. a 500 Hz power distribution system, is derived. Then a decoupling control scheme is applied to that model to overcome a drawback of voltage deviation occurring at HF base terminals against a sudden load condition change. The validity of the system modeling both in steady and transient states is shown by an experimental prototype system, and the proposed control strategy is also proved to be viable through simulation analysis
