Abstract
The acoustic boundary element method is applied to solve the Helmholtz boundary integral equation for the sound field problem in the exterior region. Basing on the acoustic boundary element method, the SYSNOISE software is used to numerically calculate the far field sound pressure in the exterior region of piezoelectric micromachined ultrasound transducer array. On the other hand, according to given test conditions, the test platform is putted up, and the frequency response curve chart of the sound pressure level is plotted in the frequency domain. It´s shown that the results obtained by the two methods make a good agreement with each other, and that the acoustic boundary element method with SYSNOISE software in this paper can be used to predict the performance of piezoelectric micromachined ultrasound transducer array at the stage of preliminary design.
