Summary form only, as given. Marmara University Faculty of Engineering (Turkey) has applied for the 1999 Award of EFQM as a public institution. Since 1993, TQM techniques have been applied to improve both the administrative and educational/training processes. One of the most challenging issues in applying TQM in an academic environment is the measurement of results. The problems faced to measure the results and the solutions applied are discussed in this paper
