Abstract :
In this study, a method for hybrid multi-attribute decision making is developed using the information axiom, in which the attributes information of alternatives is expressed in real number, interval number and linguistic labels. Evaluation of alternatives is made for the cases of both complete and incomplete functional requirements (FRs). In real world, the design ranges of evaluation criteria are not easy to be precisely specified in every time. According to the information content considered as unified measure, all alternatives can be ranked, and a final decision is made for the most proper equipment among the alternatives. An application in hydraulic pressure charges´ selection is used to demonstrate the use of the proposed method in dealing with real-world decision making problems. The results show that the proposed method provides a promising approach to efficiently evaluate hybrid multi-attribute alternatives.
