Abstract :
Workflow interoperability is a significant problem that can be used to (almost) decide whether an e-business could be conducted successfully. In this paper, we first describe a typical, simplified e-business flow, in order to analyze the collaborative work in it, and we introduce the workflow interoperability problem. We define the collaborative model of e-business as a hierarchical structure, which can also be regarded as a sketch-map of the workflow interoperability in the e-business. Then, two typical approaches to implement workflow interoperability are discussed. Our idea is to combine the two methods and apply them to different hierarchies. Workflow interoperability standards are also presented
