Abstract :
Low voltage bandgap references are vital blocks in all analog systems. In this paper, a modified sub bandgap reference voltage with PTAT current generator is presented. The traditional sub BG circuit generates 0.8 V with thermal noise 197 nV/¿(Hz) for 71 uA, while the modified circuit achieves 157 nV/¿(Hz) for 47 uA. The technology used is AMS 0.35 um. The minimum supply voltage in this technology is 1.2 V with normal devices due to its high threshold voltage. That BG is working properly from 1.2 V to 4 V with 400 ppm/V.
