Abstract :
In a photovoltaic system, the output of solar cells, load and the discharge of accumulators are indefinite quantities, generally, it can not obtain a satisfied effect with controlling the charge of accumulators by using the classical control methods. Therefore, in the paper, a fuzzy control theory is applied to the charge controller in PV system. A solar photovoltaic charging controller is the most important component of photovoltaic system, its design will have a direct impact on the reliability and efficiency of the overall system. The charge method for battery adopts the technology of combining constant current charging with constant voltage dV/dt and limited current. A charge controller of 12/24 V solar energy DC generate electricity system is designed by applying the ATMEGA8L single chip device and TL494 PWM pulse width modulator in this paper. It is proved that the system be provided with characteristics of briefness and fleetness, and having real-time better. It is available to improve accumulator´s working state, to ensure quality of charge and discharge, to achieve a better charging effect, to realize auto charge unattended course and to heighten the using longevity of the accumulator.
