Abstract :
We fabricated the inverted organic solar cells with ternary system of CdSe nanodots, poly(3-hexylthiophene) (P3HT) and phenyl-C61-butyric acid methyl ester (PCBM). The solar cell by incorporation of 10 wt% CdSe nanodots showed increased power conversion efficiency (PCE) compared with that of binary system with P3HT and PCBM. The addition of CdSe nanodots had positive effect on the solar cell performance. A promising PCE of 3.05% was achieved, which is comparable with the best reported efficiency of adding shape tailored CdSe.
