Abstract
The performance of mine detecting radar systems depends critically upon the quality of the raw data prior to processing. Hand held high resolution ground penetrating radar hardware for the centre frequency range 800 MHz-3.5 GHz has been developed and used in a series of field trials targeting buried plastic land mine equivalents. Hardware details and encouraging trial results are presented
