Abstract :
Current situation and development of the indoor airship autopilot system is based entirely on equipments that are applicable for many kinds of aerial vehicles. Since autopilot system is a crucial section of flight control system, it is desirable to develop special autopilot device for indoor airship, and this paper presents a design scheme of such equipment. Using ARM9 processor and sensors with high sensitivity, such as HMR3300 digital compass, the autopilot designed in this paper meets the developing trend of flight control system with high precision, small size and digital design. Its effectiveness and potential of practical use are demonstrated through application on real indoor airship.
