Abstract :
The analysis of coaxial cable-fed microstrip patch antennas residing in a cavity both in single and in stacked configuration is carried out by a Green´s function technique. The Green´s dyad is expressed in the usual form for the external problem and as a TE/TM expansion for the internal problem. Several prototypes of patch antennas have then been built and measured and a good agreement was obtained between measurements and simulations.<>
