Abstract :
Robust control methods of electric machines based on the disturbance torque estimation have been proposed. The disturbance torque is estimated from the measured speed or position of the motor when a rotational transducer can be mounted. However, the transducers cannot be mounted in some cases, such as motor drives in a hostile environment or high-speed motor drives. Therefore, a novel method for estimating the disturbance torque of an induction motor without rotational transducers is presented, along with robust field-oriented induction motor drives based on this method. The effectiveness of the feedback of the estimated disturbance torque without rotational transducers is demonstrated through experimental verifications
