Abstract :
Monitoring glaucoma can help fighting one of the leading blindness causes in the western industrial countries. Based on a time-related documentation of findings (IOP, papilla, visual field) and their assessment at a certain abstraction level (“normal”, “increased”, etc.) we combine these fuzzy classes up to the situations “normal”, “suspect glaucomatous”, “glaucomatous”, “pathological”. This final decision is presented to the user in its development over time. Fine tuning of the fuzzy rule set was realized using 68 cases. Verification on the basis of 50 cases shows a sensitivity of 88% and a specificity of 86%
