Abstract :
Based on the specialties of complex structure and much more indeterminations, the recent developments and problems of the research on seismic response of long-span bridges are discussed. This paper discusses the recent research and problems on the codes of bridge seismic analysis, the design methods of long-span bridges and bridge analysis considering damping and isolation. The seismic design methods include seismic response spectrum, stochastic vibration, dynamical time-history and seismic base on multi-support excitation. This paper also constructs two models, which are bridge with dampers and bridge without dampers, with the finite element program in order to make a comparison between them, and then analyzes the effects of the facilities of damping and isolation under earthquake. In general, this paper analyzes the recent developments and problems of long-span bridge basing on the aspects mentioned above.
