Abstract :
This paper introduces the design of power utilization system in student dormitory by MCU (Micro Controller Unit). The design makes use of intelligent IC card to store information of quantity of electricity, which is easy to use, and has a good application. Adopting C8051F206 MCU as control unit and using SLE4442 card to store information which is made by Siemens. We achieve the function through the design of motherboard, display board, keyboard, the base of IC card and a series of circuit. This system can facilitate gathering students advanced electrical bill, achieves automatic control in order to manage the students who go against the rule of power utilization. The waste of power utilization can be controlled and managed affectively so that the budget can be saved. This system has obtained good appraisal and already been used in student dormitory. It is innovative to use IC card in student dormitory electricity management and design with MCU and CPLD synthetically in one motherboard which can collect information of 160 electric meters.
