Abstract :
Semi-analytical finite element method is applied to study the free vibration of multilayered, anisotropic magneto-electro-elastic plates. A series solution is assumed in the plane to satisfy the fixed boundary condition. The finite element procedure is adopted across the thickness of the plate. Then the finite element model is derived based on the constitutive equation of magneto-electro-elastic material. Displacement components, electric potential and magnetic potential is taken as the nodal degree of freedom. The numerical results are compared with the solutions in literature. The influence of magnetic-electro-elastic properties are studied.
