  • Abstract
    Examples of metal-polymer electrets (MPE) technical applications discussed include: manufacture of foils, coatings and laminating materials (based on the investigation of sorption, penetration, adhesion and electrochemical characteristics of MPE); friction units and seals (regulation of liquid capillary penetration in a clearance, increasing material durability under wear, polarization of friction zone); lubricants and filtering materials with electret additives (electrochemical processes by friction, electric field influence on filtration efficiency of gas media); solar energy conversion and radiation dosimeters (based on charge carrier injection from electrodes and their interaction with elements of the polymer matrix)
