Abstract :
A planar printed array of two patches and two slots is analyzed and tested. The microstrip array is considered as four parallel slots, each equally excited with a uniform field distributed via transmission line sections (low and high characteristic impedances). The slots are resonant (half-wavelength). The radiating structure can be considered as a six-port network completely defined by the 6*6 admittance matrix. It is shown that coupling lower than -40 dB can be achieved, and position sensitivity results are given.<>
